The 24/7 Travel Consultant role is a customer focused position coordinating the accurate, timely and qualitative provision of a fully comprehensive travel service 24/7. The purpose of this role is to: Deliver timely provision of travel service outside of core office hours including weekends and bank holidays. Provide support to travellers in urgent or emergency travel situations. Collaborate with other operations divisions to support handovers and ongoing customer requests. Improve overall service quality by providing 24/7 consistent quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality OOH service is critical to retaining Clyde customers. A proficient travel consultant with the ability to adapt to any customer according to their policy and preferences and style of communication is required for the success of the OOH service.
  • Coordinate and book all travel reservations for any customer by email, telephone, or Clyde technology products used by customers.
  • Book all business travel arrangements within client policy and preferences.
  • Find creative solutions for travellers in urgent travel circumstances.
  • Communicate constantly with customers who have made contact and are waiting for solutions.
  • Complete handovers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop client and internal relationships with effective communication skills.
  • Study and learn general knowledge of all customers and their requirements.
  • Maintain sound administrative practices.
  • Action the Emergency Response Procedure when critical travel incidents occur.
  • Provide quality and efficient service that leads to positive customer feedback.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Educated to HND level or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable track record in business travel operations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of GDS systems like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo
  • Demonstrable experience in the travel industry, with focus on marine and offshore travel, or complex international corporate travel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global geography and international destinations to support client interactions and managing complex itineraries.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution with an ability to handle customer disputes and challenging circumstances effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Extensive experience using MS office tools including Outlook and Excel
