Technical Product Lead – Travel Applications

The Technical Product Lead – Travel Applications is the system administrator and product manager for core agency booking systems and data applications Clyde Travel use. This multi-national role supports our external and internal customers using these systems across different time-zones. As Product Manager you will be the knowledge specialist for numerous core systems and responsible for developing further efficiencies, releasing new product features, and providing 2nd level technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Product Manager & lead system administrator for:

  • Confirm multi-currency hotel payments
  • Umbrella Faces GDPR compliant traveller profiles and integrations
  • Multiple rail booking systems such as Evolvi, SilverRail, Trainline
  • Concur Compleat a GDS automation platform
  • Multiple Amadeus GDS products (ADTD, B2B Wallet, Offers, Margin Manager, Marine Doc Gen, ATC)
  • Secondary reservation systems; Travelport & Sabre
  • Data reporting portals such as Agentivity and Travelogix
  • Implementing new product enhancements for these systems
  • Leading projects involving these systems to deliver increased automation and efficiencies
  • Provide 2nd level support for customers and colleagues on core Clyde Travel systems
  • Providing internal or external training for products in your portfolio
  • Global consortia workflows and technology for our Nordic customers

 

Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Supporting colleagues with Atriis, Cytric or Concur booking system queries where applicable
  • Supporting technical colleagues with Amadeus GDS settings and Productivity Suite
  • Supporting the technical team colleagues with Clyde Travel’s proprietary system, Consort
  • Supporting colleagues with back-office and ERP workflows and data hand-offs
  • Supporting NDC workflows and queries
  • Supporting colleagues in setting up new internal users across all Clyde agent booking systems
  • Collaborating to onboard new external customers onto Clyde technology systems
  • Collaborating with other departments to drive efficiencies across the business    
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with all travel booking platforms
  • Manage any technical supplier failure/disruption or notifications
  • Ensure all booked transactions flow into invoicing system in a timely and accurately manner
  • Documenting processes and creating consistency in workflows

 

Candidate Requirements

  • SVQ / National Diploma/Certificate in a business discipline preferred, minimum sound Higher Education
  • Substantial experience supporting core Corporate/Marine travel agency systems
  • Administrator experience using booking automation systems (Compleat, IQCX, etc)
  • Advanced Amadeus GDS preferred, Galileo and Sabre knowledge welcomed
  • Some previous experience working with online booking systems (Cytric, Atriis, Concur)
  • Previous experience working in a technical support/corporate reservations
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance and working with virtual cards and customer credit cards
  • Good understanding of GDPR and working with protected personal data
  • Project management experience managing customer or product implementations
  • Previous experience implementing new customers onto travel systems
  • An “automation first” mindset to removing manual work and tasks
  • Passionate about good customer service and experience
  • Comfortable working independently or collaborating with colleagues
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office/365 products and automation workflows
  • Experience of dealing with BSP/ARC will greatly benefit the job holder
  • Previous experience working within the Marine or Energy travel industry
  • Having worked to ISO9001 process standards within travel
  • Previous experience using support software such as Freshdesk/Service
  • Knowledge and usage of project management software such as Monday.com
  • Previous experience using process mapping software such as Nintex Promap
  • Excellent communication skills
